Author Guidelines

We welcome authors who wish to contribute to the Advocatepedia Journal. To ensure the consistency and quality of our published research, we ask that all submissions follow the guidelines outlined below:

General Submission Requirements

Authors wishing to submit papers to Advocatepedia Journal are required to adhere to the following guidelines:

• Originality and Uniqueness: Manuscripts must be original and have not been published elsewhere in any form (either in print or online). Submissions that are under consideration or have been previously published will not be accepted.
• Document Format: The manuscript must be submitted in either .doc (Microsoft Word) or .pdf format. Please ensure that the document is formatted correctly and is readable across all platforms.
• Article Length: The length of the article should be between 3,000 and 8,000 words, excluding references, tables, and figures. This includes text, footnotes, and any appendices.

Formatting Instructions

Proper formatting is essential for a smooth review and publishing process. Please follow the instructions below:

• Title: The title of the manuscript should be clear, concise, and informative. It should reflect the content and focus of the article. The title should be in bold, centered at the top of the first page.
• Abstract: Authors are required to provide a brief abstract of 150-200 words summarizing the key points of the article. The abstract should not contain any citations or references to figures, tables, or external resources.
• Keywords: After the abstract, authors should list 4-6 keywords that reflect the key themes and topics of the paper. These keywords help in indexing and ensuring that your article is discoverable by relevant audiences.
• Headings: Please use appropriate headings and subheadings to structure your article. For example, use Heading 1 for main sections, Heading 2 for subsections, and Heading 3 for further divisions. Ensure consistency throughout the manuscript.
• Font and Size: The body of the manuscript should be typed in Times New Roman, font size 12, with 1.5 line spacing. Use 12-point font size for footnotes. Margins should be set to 1 inch on all sides of the document.

Citations and References

All references should be formatted according to the APA (7th edition) style guide. This includes in-text citations and the reference list. Ensure that:

• In-text citations: All in-text citations should be in APA format. For example, (Smith, 2020) or (Smith & Johnson, 2019).
• Reference List: At the end of your article, include a full reference list in APA style. The list should be in alphabetical order and formatted with hanging indents.

Figures and Tables

If your manuscript contains figures, tables, or other visual elements, please adhere to the following guidelines:

• Separate Submission: Figures and tables should be submitted separately from the manuscript, in a high-quality image format (.jpg, .png, or .tiff) or as editable files (.excel, .pptx, etc.). Each table or figure should be numbered sequentially (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1).
• Captions: Every figure and table must include a clear and concise caption that describes the content. These captions should be placed below the figures and tables and must be included in the manuscript, close to the relevant visual element.
• Quality of Visuals: Ensure that all images, graphs, and tables are of high resolution (at least 300 dpi). Low-quality images will not be accepted.

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process. The identities of both the authors and reviewers are kept confidential. Authors are expected to address any feedback provided by the reviewers during the revision process.
