My decision to pursue a career in law came at a fairly young age—not due to a single defining moment, but from a strong feeling that I was meant to do something greater than myself. I’ve always resonated with the principles of justice and fairness, which guided me to earn my Juris Doctor degree from Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines. At Ateneo, an Ignatian institution, we were taught the value of “Magis,” striving for “more” or the “greater good.” This value inspired me to step out of my comfort zone and pursue a Master of Laws degree at UCLA School of Law. Relocating to a new country, adapting to a different legal system, and navigating life as a minority and non-citizen in the United States has been both challenging and immensely rewarding. This experience has fostered significant growth on both a professional and personal level. Since graduating from UCLA and passing the California bar, I now practice Corporate and Intellectual Property Law—fields that have always captivated me—in Los Angeles with the Omni Legal Group. I’m incredibly proud of my journey toward achieving the American dream, and I’m honored to be a Filipino woman practicing in this space.
