Section 1 of Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1973

1. Short title and Commencement. (1) This Act may be called the [Karnataka] [Substituted by Act 40 of 1976 and by Act 25 of 1982 w.e.f. 11.4.1974.] State Civil Services (Regulation of Promotion, Pay and Pension) Act 1973. (2) This section and sections 2,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 and section 12 shall be deemed to have come into force on the first day of November, 1956 and the remaining sections shall come into force at once.
