Employing children for begging. - Whoever employs any child for the purposes of begging or causes any child to beg or whoever having the custody, charge or care of a child connives at or encourages the employment for the purpose of begging or the causing of a child to beg and whoever uses a child as an exhibit for the purpose of begging shall, on conviction, be punished with imprisonment of either description [for a term which shall, in the absence of special and adequate reasons to the contrary to be mentioned in the judgment of the court, not be less than six months and not more than five years and fine which shall not be less than three hundred rupees.]
