I am Pamela Rosario, a NY business and intellectual property lawyer. My journey to law school came from a cultural expectation. In my family, the only two professions that mattered were doctors and lawyers. So I chose the latter. While that may sound like a sad situation, it’s the story of so many children of immigrants and I wanted to make the absolute best of it. While the profession may have been chosen for me in some respect, I truly believe everything happens for a reason. I now cannot imagine being anything other than a lawyer and my life experiences more than prepared me for this role. Growing up, I helped my mother navigate some of the harsh realities that came with being an immigrant in this country. I saw, first hand, how there were ways she was being taken advantage of because of her status in this country, her not so great grasp of the language, or even the fact that she was a woman. Witnessing those injustices instilled a drive in me to always empower and educate others - to understand their rights and stand up for themselves, regardless of the situation. After over a decade of working for some of the world’s largest investment banks and law firms, I now own my own practice where I represent entrepreneurs and global brands. One of my personal missions is to teach entrepreneurs and founders how to be savvy business owners who are legally protected throughout every step of their entrepreneurial journey.
