Assam State Industrial Relief Undertakings Act, 1989

Section 1

1. Short title, extent and commencement:- This Act may be called the Assam State Industrial Relief Undertakings Act, 1989. It extends to the whole of the State of Assam. It shall come into force at once.

Section 2

2. Amendment of Section 3 of Assam Act VII of 1984:- In the principal Act, in section 3,-- in the proviso, the word "five" between the words "more than" and "years" shall be substituted by the word "ten". The existing provision shall be re-numbered as sub-section and thereafter, the following shall be inserted as sub-section , namely-- " The notification under the proviso to sub-section may, for sufficient reasons be issued giving retrospective operation".
